Gmail is one of the popular website for sending emails. Millions of people use it everyday for personal and professional purpose. They send lots of emails to many people. Sometimes, they remain in hurry and makes a mistake during typing the correct mail address in the receiver field. Then, the wrong people get that email, which may be horrible in some circumstances. They need to undo or unsend the mail quickly after sending when they realize that it has been send to the wrong address. Google has kept an option to bring back or recall the sent mail quickly within a few seconds to overcome this problem. Here is the full tutorial of the process with clear and easy to understand screenshots:
Step 1: At first, log in to your Gmail account. Then you will see the settings icon or the gear icon at the top right corner of your screen. Click on it to get the following options. Now, click on Settings option to enter the mail settings:
Step 2: Now, you will see a page with many tabs. Click on the Labs tab. See the below screenshot:
Step 3: Now, you will see a page with many options. Scroll down to the option Undo Send. It will be disabled by default. It will look like this:
Step 4: You have to Enable the feature. Just bring your mouse cursor there and click on the radio button beside Enable option.
Step 5: Lastly, you have to save the changed settings. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save Changes button.
That’s enough. You can now try this feature by sending an email to any mail address. After hitting the send button, you will see an option called Undo. It will remain visible for 10 seconds. If you wish, you can cancel sending the mail within this time. See an example of that:
